The Association of Captain Mbaye Diagne for the Culture of Peace has the goal to promote the legacy of Captain Mbaye Diagne and by doing so, to promote a culture of peace and non-violence in Senegal and in the rest of the world, through education for peace.

Therefore, the Association campaigns for the integration of the story of courage and solidarity of the Captain in the Senegalese education history curriculum. The Association provided technical assistance to the Konrad Adenauer Foundation to produce the educational cartoon ‘Un héros de notre temps’, which was distributed to Senegalese schools.

The legacy of the Captain is also present in the training programmes for Senegalese Army Officers.
